I am a bachelor student at the Department of Agriculture Crop Production and Rural Environment, University of Thessaly. I have done my thesis experiment at the lab of Entomology and Agricultural Zoology, in regard to hybridism between different types of mosquitoes, and also participated at some experiments where mating behavior and preference on sterile or wild types of male mosquitoes, were observed. Currently I am working as an assistant helping a research, associated with mosquito resistance at chemical and biological insecticides.
On 2018 I was also part of a project at Hochschule Geisenheim University ,Germany. In which, the activity of larvae from forest beetle Melolontha was tested, with the use of underground microphones and the monitoring of their sounds. One year after, I did my Erasmus studies at KU Leuven University, Belgium and attended some lab sessions where biochemical elements of Locust grasshoppers were measured. After those experiences my main interest on further research lays on biochemistry of insects and the use of bioinformatics for further information gathering.
